Marzuki Denies Accusations of Restricting The House's Right

wib)JAKNEWS.COM---House of Representative speaker, Marzuki Alie, denies all accusations of being an authoritarian, a dictator, or being selfish by adjourning the plenary session without consulting other speakers and also by ignoring the flood of interruptions from the members of the House.
He claimed, Tuesday (2/3), that what he did was normal because the two agendas agreed at the start were already fulfilled according to the agreement by the deliberative body (Bamus). "As I've explained, it was based on the Bamus. It (session) was done and based on the agenda it's finished."
The former secretary general for the Democratic Party believes that he has upheld justice by giving equal chance for everyone to speak. Marzuki also claimed that the plenary's decision outweighs legitimacy of the Bamus decision.
He opined that there should be respect, but within the right portion, and that orderiness is very important for him. He pointed out that when the agenda was first read, no one protested. If anyone had protested, that would've given precedence for the session to continue.
Marzuki emphasized that there are rules for everything. "Politics has rules, life has rules. If the agenda should be changed, it should've been changed from the start.".
