House to discuss KPU member dismissal after recess
(Monday,05/07/2010:10.30 wib)

JAKNEWS.COM---The House of Representatives has said it would discuss the dismissal recommendation of General Elections Commission (KPU) member Andi Nurpati after the recess.

The KPU honorary council recommended that Andi be dismissed following a mismanagement in handling a local election and her decision to join a political party leadership board, tempointeraktif.com reported.

"Andi should be replaced by a candidate that ranked second in the previous selection," Ganjar Pranowo, House commission II deputy chairman, said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com on Sunday.

However, should the existing KPU members be able to handle all programs, Andi's post would left vacant, he added.
