wib)JAKNEWS.COM---The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named MSH and EF as suspects in an alleged graft case related to the renovation of a mess hall for Indonesian embassy employees in Singapore.
MSH was former Indonesian ambassador to Singapore while EF was his subordinate, KPK Vice Chairman M. Jasin said here on Saturday.
The two were suspected of marking up prices and of appointing a partner without any tender to carry out the project, he said.
Asked about the partner`s identity, he said the partner came from Singapore.
"The partner was a Singaporean," he said.
But he stopped short of naming the partner`s company.
So far, the anti-graft body had named two suspects in the alleged corruption case, he said.
Another KPK deputy chairman, Bibit Samat Riyanto, said both MSH and EF had been named suspects in the case since last week.
Jasin said authorized officers were in the process of counting the state`s losses by the alleged graft.
Earlier, an investigating team of the Corruption Eradicating Team (Tim Tastipikor) said the project was carried out with funds from the 2003 state budget.
It said the alleged graft case had inflicted a loss of Rp16 billion on the state.
